Listen to the editor of Form, Elizabeth Neep, as she outlines this series.
The four values we will be looking at over this series are:
Formed by real life – spiritual formation is not something we opt in or out of but we are being formed everyday by what and who is in our world.
Formed by relationship – the way Jesus lived his life was with the people, his disciples and his followers; not insular but in community.
Formed by scripture – in a world of conflicting opinions we have a solid foundation to live our lives by.
Formed by history – what we do now is shaped by those who went before us. Spiritual disciplines are centuries old and are as important now as they have ever been.
